Melepas rindu kuliner kampung halaman seraya berkumpul bersama keluarga ternyata juga dilaksanakan oleh Presiden RI Joko Widodo. Melalui akun Instagram, dia berjenis-jenis foto dan tulisan mengenai masakan kampung halamannya.
"Suatu kebahagian bagi aku bila bisa kumpul bersama keluarga seperti ini. Ini kita lagi merasakan Soto Gading di Solo, sempatkanlah berkumpul dengan keluarga di jeda aktivitas lur dulur semua," dikutip dari akun Instagram sah Presiden Jokowi.
Presiden nampak menyantap soto ayam bersama Ibu Negara Iriana Joko Widodo. Putra pertamanya, Gibran Rakabuming, beserta istrinya, Selvi Ananda, juga ikut serta kelihatan.
Cucu pertama Presiden, Jan Ethes, turut diajak datang ke Soto Gading. Jan Ethes kelihatan digendong Presiden Jokowi.
Hidangan andalan Soto Gading yakni soto berkuah kental dari kaldu ayam jernih. Isiannya ada soun, suwiran daging ayam plus taburan bawang merah goreng, dan irisan daun seledri. Rasanya didominasi oleh rasa kuah kaldu ayam yang ringan dan tidak banyak rempah.
Sebagai pendamping makan soto, tersedia aneka gorengan tahu, tempe, sate usus, sate daging sapi, empal, dan perkedel yang diberi tahu di meja makan pengunjung.
Kedai Soto Gading dibuka pertama kali pada 1974 oleh Siswo Martono. Sesungguhnya bukan cuma Jokowi, presiden lain seperti Abdurrahman Wahid, Megawati Soekarnoputri, dan Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono juga pernah bersantap di Soto Gading.
Harga soto gading sangat terjangkau, tak hingga Rp 20.000. Tidak heran soto gading disebut masakan semua kalangan.
Ramainya pembeli membikin para pengunjung sepatutnya antri dan bertoleransi dengan pengunjung lain yang telah menunggu tempat kosong. Kedai Soto Gading buka dari pukul 05.30 sampai pukul 15.30.
